Frequently Asked Questions
Registration

If you have used NOAERS in the past to register for a national event like NOAC, NLS, or DYLC, you will login with the same credentials that you used then. If you forget your password, you can use the “Forgot Password” feature. If you have never used NOAERS before, you will need to make an account.

Unfortunately, no. NOAERS requires individual registration for each attendee under their own NOAERS account. You can use the same payment method for multiple registrations but each registration must be completed on its own.

This happens when the wrong Scouting America ID number is connected to your account. This commonly happens if someone has multiple ID numbers, or a parent entered their ID number when registering their child. You will need to enter in the correct membership ID number to proceed.

NOAERS reviews the youth protection expiration date and compares it to the event date. If youth protection expires between now and NEF, it will warn you. Your youth protection will need to be recertified before NEF, or you will not be allowed to stay at the event.

No, the discounted price for Spring 2025 inducted youth is sponsored through a specific program designed to get youth immediately active in the Order of the Arrow after their induction. As these funds are limited, the focus is on supporting youth attendance. Adults inducted this spring will select “Lodge Delegate” as their registration type.

Policies

Yes, all attendees (including day visitors) are required to bring a printed, paper copy of Part A and B of the Scouting America medical form. If the attendee is under 18, the medical form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Check-in opens at 5pm on Friday and concludes at 8:30pm. We will have staff ready to check in attendees until 11pm. If you are arriving after 8:30pm, please notify your lodge adviser. Please do not arrive before 5pm.

The last event of NEF is the annual election of next year’s Section Officers. That election is scheduled to conclude at 11:30am on Sunday. However, elections can go longer or shorter depending on the number of candidates and rounds of voting.

The NEF Code of Conduct can be found here. Any attendee found not following the Code of Conduct can be dismissed from NEF.

Yes, swim tests will be offered by Camp Squanto staff and must be completed before any aquatic activities in camp.

Day visitor check-in begins at 7:30am in the dining hall. At that time, you will deposit your printed medical form. You are able to participate in all Saturday programs including training, afternoon, program, the patch auction, and the Saturday Night Show. All day visitors must check out of camp by 11:30pm on Saturday.

Accommodations

No, we will be using the canvas tents in the Camp Squanto campsite. You are welcome to bring your own tent if you would prefer.

The first meal at NEF will be the cracker barrel on Friday night at 9pm after the opening show. Attendees should plan to bring their own dinner or stop somewhere on their way to Camp Squanto. The last meal will be breakfast on Sunday morning.

Program

When you arrive at NEF, you will be given a paper program guide with details about every program at the event.

No, you can attend any training you’d like offered during Saturday.
